For students
A writing tool that helps you think, not one that writes for you.
Academic drafts are hard to revise alone. Creader is a place to actually work them through, with live feedback as the argument takes shape, and a coach who can see when you're stuck.
Your draft, your words
The AI here doesn’t write paragraphs for you. It asks better questions, points out claims you didn’t support, and helps you link ideas. The prose stays yours.
Help that arrives mid-draft
You don’t have to wait until office hours to find out your argument doesn’t hold together. Guardian streams draft-aware notes as you write.
Your coach is on your side
Your writing-center coach or instructor can see what you draft here. That’s the point of a coached section. They’ll spot when you’re stuck and step in. Your private projects stay private.
What writing here actually feels like.
Five moments from a real session. No screenshots: read the sequence, see if it sounds like the kind of help you want.
You sit down to draft
A blank page, your assignment, and the prompt your coach pinned to the section. No paywall, no pop-ups asking for your attention.
You start a sentence
Words appear as fast as you type them. Guardian reads in the background. Nothing pops up to interrupt your flow.
You hit a snag
You can’t see how your evidence supports the thesis you opened with. You ask the assistant. Instead of rewriting the paragraph for you, it asks what claim you’re actually trying to make, and reminds you of a source you cited two pages back.
Guardian flags something
The thesis you stated in the introduction has quietly softened by the conclusion. Or you wrote “it is important to note that society tends to…” and Guardian thinks the sentence is hedging. You decide: accept, ignore, or revise.
You finish a draft
Word count goes up, the draft saves automatically, and your coach can see your progress on their dashboard. No surprise "submit", just the revision pass waiting.
What students ask first.
Can I use the AI to write my essay for me?
No. Coach Mode is enforced server-side: the AI literally cannot draft prose for you. If you ask it to write a paragraph, it will redirect you to a question that helps you write it yourself. You will get further by asking it specific questions about argument, evidence, and structure.
Can my coach read everything I write here?
Your writing-center coach or instructor can read whatever you write in your section project, the one tied to this class or appointment. Any other projects on your account stay private to you. Your coach also sees when you paste large blocks of text into the editor (length only, never the content).
What if I leave the section?
You keep every word you wrote. Your coach loses access to it. The project stays in your account.
Can my classmates see my work?
No. Only you and your coaches see what you write. We are not building a "share with the section" feature in v1.
